My Blog!

The
other day I was in a discussion and someone
asked me the question, "How do you handle
frustration?" I wanted say, "I don't get
frustrated," but that would not have been the
truth.

Frustration is a part of life, whether you are a
parent with challenging kids, a teacher in
public schools with class sizes that are too
large, an administrator waiting for payments
from the state, or a patriotic citizen wondering
what happened to honest politicians.
As I
thought about how I handle frustration I was
reminded of the bible verses I memorized long
ago which say,

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in
everything, by prayer and petition, with
thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
And the peace of God, which transcends all
understanding, will guard your hearts and minds
in Christ Jesus."
It
almost sounds too good to be true. All I
have to do is 1) not be anxious, 2) tell God my
requests, and 3) receive His peace!

I
can tell you from personal experience it really
works. If you are carrying frustration
today, try God's plan for dealing with it - you
might just keep some of your hair in place!

Quincy Kroc Center
Construction
UPDATE
The outside
framework of the Quincy Kroc Center is now almost
50% complete. Steel and concrete are coming
together as more than 40 construction workers are on
the site every day. Plumbers, electricians and
masons are all working side by side as directed by
construction managing firm S. M. Wilson.
The entire
Quincy community is watching with excitement as the
building takes shape. The nearly 100,000 sq.
ft. facility is scheduled to open in June 2011.
Thank you for
your continued prayers as the Kroc Center
construction provides many jobs and brings hope in
difficult times!
