The Quincy Salvation Army Christmas Campaign Chairs, the Dustin and Allison Hall family, have announced the completion of a successful 2016 Christmas Campaign. The Quincy campaign goal of $400,000 was exceeded with a total raised of $407,276.

The Tree of Lights Christmas Campaign is The Salvation Army’s major fund raising effort each year. Money raised during the campaign helps provide Christmas assistance as well as funding programs and services that assist individuals and families in the greater Adams, Brown , and Pike County areas on a daily basis throughout the entire year.

The need for assistance to the people of the Quincy area community is a constant, which The Salvation Army takes very seriously, especially during this campaign.
This holiday season the following assistance was given in the Quincy service area: 700 Christmas food boxes were distributed to families. 723 children received 4,338 toys from Toy Town. 480 meals were served on Thanksgiving, and 380 meals were served on Christmas Day.

The Salvation Army is grateful to the 1,663 volunteers who donated 4,018 hours of volunteer service to help make all of this possible.

The Salvation Army appreciates the many individuals, groups, organizations, and businesses that supported our effort by donating food, toys, time and money to make the 2016 Christmas Campaign a success.
