Introducing Mobile Giving

The Salvation Army has announced the implementation of mobile giving for their 2017 Christmas Campaigns. The text-based platform will allow users to donate to the campaign of their choosing directly from their cell phone.

Contributors can text the keyword “DONATEQUINCY” to 41444 and receive a link to the mobile donation page. Users can then choose to donate $25, $50, $100, or a custom amount of their choice. Donors will also have the option of making their contribution a one-time, weekly, monthly, or quarterly offering.

Similarly, users that wish to contribute to the Hannibal Salvation Army Christmas Campaign can use the same method to donate. Hannibal users must text the keyword “DONATEHANNIBAL” to 41444 to send their donation to the Hannibal Christmas Campaign.

“With the introduction of mobile giving, we will be able to reach a new demographic, as well as offer a convenient alternative to the methods of fundraising we already have in place,” says Salvation Army Development Director Patty Douglas. “We’re very excited to integrate this new form of giving during this year’s Christmas Campaign.”

The Salvation Army provides a variety of programs and services to assist families in need in the greater Adams County area in Illinois, and in Hannibal and six additional counties in northeast Missouri during the Christmas season, including the distribution of food and toys to those in need in our community.
